2017
Thursday
From 6:00 PM TO 8:00 PM
Status:
Closed

Join us for a presentation by Dr. deMauri Mackie, Fellow in Clinical Research Methodology, and Michael F. Murphy, M.D., Ph.D., with Worldwide Clinical Trials. During the presentation, our speakers will discuss historical precedents for how orphan disease research is conducted, who the key stakeholders can be in the process, and the need to consider multiple perspectives (patient, family, pharma/biotech company, and payer). They also will consider how to adjudicate conflicting interests when both value and novelty must be demonstrated, and how to “step outside the box” while remaining pragmatic in the design of clinical trials and post-approval research activities.
