More postdoctoral and PhD candidates are considering a career transition to the Pharma/Biotech industry rather than staying in academia. Though the choice may seem obvious and easy to make, the actual process of making this transition is very challenging and different from finding an academic postdoctoral or research position.
Join us for an interactive panel discussion, during which our panelists will answer some key questions to assist in understanding the process of finding employment in industry. We will discuss various roles PhDs and postdoctoral scholars can consider in addition to research positions. We will also talk about what managers and recruiters look for in a compelling resume and how to interview well.
Moderated by: Toby Freedman (Synapsis Search and author of Career Opportunities in Biotechnology and Drug Development),
Our panelists are: Johanna Lucas (Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, BioMarin), Rong Wang (VP Finance, MID Labs) and Matt Valentino (Calico Labs).
