More than 200 Gather for Women In Bio-Seattle Metro Kick Off
We are very proud and thrilled with the turnout for the WIB-Seattle Metro
chapter’s opening event, which was held on September 15, 2011, at the
Maxwell Hotel. The excitement for our first west coast chapter in the
United States was unmistakable with the turnout of more than 200 people
interested in what WIB will be bringing to the Pacific Northwest.
On
September 16, Xconomy.com’s Luke Timmerman posted a write-up of this
event, which included a glowing review. Also, our dedication to providing
education, mentoring and professional development assistance to women and
young women who are working in life sciences or in professions supportive
of the life sciences, and young women and girls who are interested in
science careers was clear to all in attendance.
