WIB at BIO 2014 International Convention in San Diego

Opening Doors, Expanding Horizons, Empowering Women to Reach Their Full Potential

WIB is building up to a range of activities at BIO International Convention 2014 in San Diego this June, headlined by our signature WIB Welcome Celebration, which will feature one of the most prominent women in Pharma, Annalisa Jenkins.

The Welcome Celebration will be held at the beautiful Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Sapphire Terrace on June 23rd, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. [RSVP]

In addition to our Welcome Celebration, we also have two Meet-Up Sessions planned during BIO 2014:

  • Women In Bio-Southern California Area Professionals and Executives in the Life Science Industry. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m at Booth #255. [RSVP]

March is Women's History Month!

Women In Bio is excited to celebrate Women’s History Month this March by hosting the first annual WIB “North American Conference for Women’s Education and Entrepreneurship." To honor and recognize the contributions that generations of women have made to events in history and to society, WIB's 11 chapters will hold events in cities across North America. These events will include keynote addresses and panel discussions from pioneer women in life sciences, covering topics such as science education for girls, career path choices, cultivating skills to move from bench to business, and breaking the life sciences “ceiling.” Check out our Brochure or Special Events page for more information.

 


WIB Proudly Announces Partnership with BioTalent Canada for Canadian Expansion

Women In Bio is delighted to announce a new partnership with BioTalent Canada that will expand WIB activities in Canada to help women advance their careers in the life sciences. WIB currently has an active chapter in Greater Montreal, in addition to 10 chapters in the U.S., and plans to add new chapters in additional Canadian cities to be announced. WIB offers professional development seminars, networking events and mentorship programs to women working in the life sciences, as well as Young Women In Bio programs to encourage middle and high school girls to choose life science careers.

 


 

PEGS 2014 Boston Chapter Scholarship Announced

Would you like to attend the 10th annual PEGS The Essential Protein Engineering Summit in May? WomenInBio and Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI) have teamed up to create a scholarship that allows you to do just that! Additionally, all WIB members will receive a 20% discount on their conference fee as well as complimentary passes to the exhibit hall. The chair of our Greater Boston chapter, Kristi Sarno, will chair the conference’s Plenary Keynote Session. Applications are due February 26, 2014 - learn more here on how to apply!
