We are thrilled to announce WIB has elected Dr. J. Dianne Keen-Kim, Ph.D., FACMG, HCLD(ABB) of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter as the 2024 National President-Elect. She will transition into the National President role in 2025. Dianne currently serves as the Chair of the Executive Women In Bio (EWIB) and Sponsorship committees for WIB San Francisco Bay Area, and is a member of the 2022 EWIB Boardroom Ready cohort. She has been an active member of Women In Bio for over 10 years.
Keen-Kim is a medical laboratory, genetics, and operational executive with over 20 years of strategic growth and resource optimization expertise in the medical device and diagnostics industries. Her varied experience includes scaling automation through AI/ML, R&D, quality, regulatory, and clinical trials within start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. As an operator, entrepreneur, and member of the board of directors of several companies, she has designed, built, validated, and launched more than 50 clinical tests for the diagnosis and treatment of patients and built/staffed five clinical laboratories from scratch. She currently serves as SVP of Laboratory Affairs and Corporate CLIA Director at Natera, Founder CEO of Arete Diagnostics, and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She earned her BS from Carnegie Mellon University and her PhD from MIT and completed medical genetics fellowships at UCLA School of Medicine.
