Today we are excited to announce Los Angeles as the newest Women In Bio chapter! Since 2013, the Southern California chapter has operated in one of the largest biotech hubs in the country serving in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. The entire region has experienced tremendous growth, both in population and scope of impact in the life science industry. We are proud to announce that the Los Angeles life science ecosystem will have a stronger WIB presence with its own chapter starting this June!
At WIB, we recognize the need for all women to feel empowered and the importance of embracing diverse talent and offering equitable representation to ensure we unlock the full potential of innovation and progress across the life sciences. It is about more than just having a seat at the table. By continuing to expand our presence across North America, we will be able to engage an even broader cohort of women.
How you can get involved:
- If you’re a current member and have Southern California as your primary chapter, you can now select either Los Angeles or San Diego. Follow these steps to change your primary chapter.
- Become a WIB-Los Angeles member by visiting our website and purchasing a general or student membership.
- Register for the upcoming WIB-Los Angeles Launch Event.
- Sign up for our newsletter and stay informed about events, initiatives, and more from WIB-National and your chapter.
- Follow the WIB-Los Angeles LinkedIn page to stay up to date on the latest news and events.
- Attend our events at BIO in San Diego between June 3–6 and help us celebrate our newest chapter.
