Dear WIB Community,
I’m Katherine Andersen, and I’m honored to step into the role of Chair of Women In Bio’s National Board of Directors. Like many of you, I’ve felt what it’s like to navigate this industry when the stakes are high, and the room doesn’t always reflect who we are. That’s why I care so deeply about WIB and why I’m so energized about what we’ll build next together.
Over the past year, this community didn’t just keep going; it rallied in a way that proved what’s possible when we stay connected through uncertainty. Now, our opportunity is to build on that momentum with even greater intentionality, so WIB’s impact is sustainable, people-powered, and scalable across our chapters, our community, and the life sciences ecosystem.
In my first message as Board Chair, I share more about what brought me here and my ask for all of us as we move into this next chapter: stay engaged, invite others in, and help shape what comes next.
I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I’m proud to do it alongside you.
