As we near year’s end and my first six months as Executive Director, I wanted to reflect on the most meaningful moments that defined our journey’s beginning. This time has been a collective effort with so many working to propel us forward, and it’s with great pride that I highlight some of the most meaningful.
I must first offer a heartfelt acknowledgment to WIB President Azurii Collier, whose tireless efforts during my onboarding have set the foundation for our organization’s success. Azurii’s commitment has been instrumental, and I am deeply grateful for her invaluable contributions to this organization all year.
We have collaborated with our esteemed partners at Deloitte and created a new strategic plan that charts an exciting course for our future. This plan, crafted with precision and vision, will guide our efforts as we continue to make a meaningful impact in the careers and lives of women in this industry.
I am thrilled that we have secured eight brand-new National sponsors, with more partnerships anticipated before the year concludes. These new collaborations, along with our long-term partners, strengthen our broad network of sponsors, amplify our impact, and position us for even greater success.
And it’s you, the individuals, who lift and warm this organization into a community of collaboration and support. One of the highlights of the past six months was the opportunity to connect with literally hundreds of volunteers and members during the BIO week and various chapter programs. These interactions not only enriched my understanding of our vibrant community but also reinforced the strength and diversity that define our organization.
In closing, I want to express my sincere gratitude to each member of the Women In Bio staff. Your passion, commitment, and hard work have supported so many of the successes, and I am honored to lead such an amazing group of ladies.
To each member of the WIB family, your dedication, passion, and hard work have made these moments possible. From our board members to our donors, partners, staff, and the incredible individuals who contribute to our cause, your collective efforts are propelling us to new heights.
The successes of the past six months are a strong foundation for the future, and I am confident that our continued collaboration and shared dedication will lead to even greater accomplishments in the months and years to come.
